Metratec’s Ultra-Wideband Indoor Positioning System (UWB) uses radio waves in the 5-7 GHz frequency range to enable very accurate real-time positioning and tracking of objects or people inside a building. Metratec UWB offers an extremely high localization accuracy of 10-20 centimeters. As the localization of the beacons can be triggered via software or via motion sensor, battery lives of a few years are possible in typical usage scenarios.
The UWB system is compatible with Metratec’s classic IPS. This allows applications to be easily scaled and tailored to individual requirements to support large-scale operations with thousands of tracked objects or people.
