Economical and flexible localization technology for rooms and zones
Metratec’s Indoor Positioning System (IPS) locates people and objects using active radio transponders in the 2.4 GHz frequency range. The system specially developed by Metratec is based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard and can therefore be used worldwide, inside and outside of buildings.
Due to the low power consumption and long battery life of more than 5 years of the beacons, Metratec IPS is a particularly cost-effective system with a very long range of more than 100 meters.
The special feature of metraTec’s IPS is that it is not mandatory for the entire building or the entire warehouse to be equipped with the system, just the relevant areas. This lowers the infrastructure costs and leads to fewer problems with data protection, since, for example, sensitive areas such as lounges can be exempted from surveillance.
