Location and tracking for indoor and outdoor areas
Angle measurement, also known as Angle of Arrival (AoA), is a method of determining the angle of arrival of a signal. The Metratec AoA system is used to determine the position of objects or people indoors or in other environments. Accurate position information can be determined by combining angle measurement and distance determination. Metratec AoA tracking works in the frequency range of 2.4 GHz. The system specially developed by Metratec is based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard and can be used worldwide.
The system has a high positioning accuracy of +-50cm and a very high range of more than 100m. Due to low power consumption and cost-effective radio transponders, AoA systems work particularly economically and can be used in environments such as shopping malls, airports, hospitals, or large office buildings for route finding or location tracking.
