DeskID ISO USB Desktop Reader/Writer

The DeskID ISO is a compact HF RFID Reader/Writer for RFID applications in the office or factory. Typical applications include customer management (e.g. in sports studios), the configuration of transponders in automation systems, and all other applications in which ISO15693 RFID tags must be read with a PC or notebook computer.

The slim, well-designed housing fits on every desktop and gives every PC user the possibility to read and write transponders that communicate according to ISO15693, including all custom functions. The reading range varies between 50 and 100 mm, depending on the tag type. The device is connected to the PC using a standard USB cable which is also used to power the device (no separate power supply is necessary).

Using the free Windows demo software that ships with the device, transponders can be scanned, written, read, and erased accordingly. Also included with the device are different programming libraries for Java, .NET, and Python, which you can use to write your applications within a short time without prior knowledge of RFID. Using the easy-to-learn low-level ASCII protocol you can also connect the device to other systems, e.g. an embedded PC or even a PLC.
