This next generation of the DwarfG2 marks a new beginning of RFID modules by Metratec. Based on the Impinj E310 frontend IC, this module delivers great performance in a small package and without measurable heat development. Read modern UHF transponders with up to 1.5m range and use all the latest EPC Gen2 v2 features as well as propriety Impinj commands.
The product version has the same footprint as the old DwarfG2 of the previous generation but delivers better performance and higher stability under difficult conditions due to the more sensitive RFID IC. The module also uses the new AT commands included in all our new UHF products.
To make your integration task easier, we supply a C library with examples for embedded Linux and bare metal programming, as well as an example for µPython. For use with PC-based systems, there is also a Java, Python, and .NET SDK. They all can be found on our Github Page or in the download area below. For the fastest start, get our DwarfG2 starter kit which includes our new UDB4 development board, an SMD-to-board adapter, and some transponders.
