Add RFID anywhere in your product and read ISO 15693 transponders quickly with this OEM RFID module. Its small form factor of only 50 x 30 mm can be fitted into almost any product. With the integrated antenna, the read range for an ISO 15693 transponder is up to 70 mm (depending on the tag size).
Integrating the module into your host system via a 3.3V UART is easy due to the many existing libraries and SDKs, eg. for Python, Java and ANSI-C with examples for Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and RTOS (Zephyr).
Typical usage scenarios for the RR15 are identification of replaceable parts inside machines, checking consumables for best-before dates and authenticity as well as various logistics applications where 13.56MHz RFID is still the prevailing standard.
For an even easier start, metraTec offers the RR15 Starter Kit which not only includes one module but also the matching cables, UART to USB converter and a number of compatible RFID tags.
